he other day I discovered my life is perfect.
I was shocked. Wow! But it was clear to me: My life is perfect!!!
My life was in perfect resonance with me.
Can life---reality---get more perfect than that?
My life is in resonance with me and I am in resonance with my life. Nothing can happen in my life that I am not resonant with. Sure, I may not be able to see from a superficial glance how I got in resonance with something, but there is no doubt: if it's in my world, I'm in resonance with it.
I realized I have everything in every moment that I need to be who I am. The feedback I need to further unfold my being is always right with me. The next step I need to take, the bit of information I require, the obstacle that will enable me to develop a skill, the help I'm ready and willing to receive, the detour that will guide me to make an essential connection, the situation that will open my eyes to things about myself I didn't know, the thoughts I either need to drop or nurture---it's all right here and now.
We are always in the perfect place at the perfect time. Where else could we possibly be? Perfection, I discovered, was not what I used to think it was.
Is there any way to experience something that one is not in resonance with?
I don't see how!
When we get upset with what is, when we fight with reality, we are acting as if we could experience something we are not in resonance with. "This is not me! This is not what I want!" Yet it is there "for a reason," and that reason is that you are in resonance with it. That's all. It's part of your life because it is a part of your vibration. It's revealing to you something about your state of consciousness. That is the "reason."
The knowledge that my life is perfect enables me to be here now and take the next step with full energy and awareness instead of lamenting that things are not the way I want them to be, or thinking I have to wait for other conditions. Instead, if I accept my life as perfect---as presenting me with the absolutely perfect reality that reflects my state of consciousness---I pay attention to it. I really, really want to see and respond to everything in my life because nothing is there by accident or mistake. It has to be there because this is the way I am vibrating.
I may not be able to take the step I'd like to take, which is a hundred steps from this one---I want to have it all now, of course, and thank you---but it has become clear to me that I can't get to that hundredth step except by taking the steps in between.
However, the number of steps to be taken to achieve my vision will change as I take each step toward it. The steps will increase, decrease, and go off in various directions as new possibilities pop up.
I've learned that it's essential to have an overall vision, but it's also essential to hang loose on the way to achieving it. Being open to new information and surprises helps a lot! It's a balancing act between setting short-term objectives and long-term goals and being open to insights and changing conditions that mean making adjustments.
Otherwise, think about it. The perfect life! Do you also have the perfect life? I now know I do. I am right here in the center of it. Everything I need to do right now is here at hand. And if I stay in the present and make plans from this point of power, my plans are living and rich, not rigid and sparse. They are unfolding organically from the present, changing as what is true now changes.
Imagine that your life is perfect and you accept reality fully as what is true right now. What happens? One thing: you're not fighting with what is. You don't think if-only thoughts or thoughts like "If I had ... " Instead, you look about yourself and it's easy to see what needs to be done next, whether it's cleaning the kitchen or writing that chapter or packing your bags for a trip.
When we don't fight ourselves or what is, the struggle is over. We can take action in peace. What we need to do in the moment is always clear, or becomes clear if we relax and remember everything is perfect. A perfect reflection of what is, what is needed, and what to do next.
